Brand Identity, Art Direction, Editorial DesignInstructor: Brankica Harvey, Jack CollinsInspired by Nick Cave’s Amalgams and Grafts, I developed a typographic quilt logo that visually interprets the concept of material amalgamation present in his work. Just as Cave combines diverse materials to create sculptural and emotionally resonant pieces, the logo weaves together fragmented letterforms and textures to form a unified yet dynamic visual language.
This approach extends into the overall brand identity, which incorporates patchwork structures, modular typography, and contrasting textures to visually express the ideas of assembly and tension. More than just a functional system, this identity acts as a conceptual extension of the exhibition’s themes, exploring hybrid identities and material-based storytelling.
